Was informed by my "Service Provider" that I had the dreaded oil in ECU problem and that the loom and harness and whatnot had to be replaced. Many R thousands later Disco "fixed" with new wiring . I should have known better than be russhed in to this repair - I believe it can be done forvless than than R1000 with a judicious oil pressure relief orifice created in one or two places.

Re: Oil in ECU

David, I'm glad to find someone else with the same problem. I've been informed the same way this week, BUT being a bit of a McGyver said stop the bus. I've since opened all plugs on the loom and took the ecu out to drain any oil. The culprit loom seems to be the one inside the crank case. After some carp cleaner and compressed air the misfire and dead spot midrange has dissapeared. I do admit that this might only be a temporary solution but it didn't cost me a cent !! and confirmed the fault.

Please give more detail on what they fixed or replaced. Thanks
